About

I was so moved by Eliza’s story. She has overcome so much adversity in her life and yet always has such a positive outlook and genuine empathy for others. She is such an inspiration to all who hear her.

Eliza in the past

Eliza is a testament to resilience and strength. As a child she overcame unimaginable challenges including a rare case of Vitamin A toxicity that left her physically handicapped, resulting in over 20 surgeries before she turned 18. She also faced emotional and mental trials when her parents battled for custody, including multiple parental kidnappings. On September 11, 2001, she was one mile away from the World Trade Center and seventeen years later, was diagnosed with breast cancer from the exposure. She overcame all her challenges with unwavering courage.

Eliza embodies the spirit of survival. Her goal is to inspire and empower others who may be facing their own challenges.

For six years Eliza has been writing a memoir about her childhood called Life In Captivity. Her current goal is to spread her message of mindful positivity.
